Job summary

Power Design in Arlington, VA seeks an motivated, entry-level Field Engineer to learn the business of managing large-scale construction projects on local jobsites under the supervision of a Superintendent and project team.

You will gain firsthand experience in electrical installation, support project deliverables, and contribute to a culture of safety onsite. After training, you will use cutting-edge technology and collaborate with suppliers, customers, and trades to drive project success.

Qualifications

• College graduate with a construction-related degree, or 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Detail-oriented professional who can quickly solve problems and seeks a defined career path.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Gain firsthand experience of electrical installation scopes (decks, rough, trim, distribution).
• Support project deliverables throughout all phases of construction, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Contribute to onsite safety culture by recognizing hazards and enforcing corrections.
• Coordinate schedules, manage labor forecast, inventory, materials, and project correspondence (orders, timesheets).
• Interact with customers and other trades while representing Power Design in the field.
• Utilize training and state-of-the-art tools to assist on assigned projects.
