Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking an experienced Field Engineer in Dayton, OH to lead field operations on an Advanced Technology data center project. You will oversee production, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to keep work on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1+ years of construction engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field.
• 1+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Beginning knowledge of construction equipment & techniques, drawings & specs, materials and applicable standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management.

Responsabilités

• Meet daily with project crews to review production schedule and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Coordinate and analyze shop drawings, design specs, material requirements, and project data for quality and contract compliance.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling; identify risk elements that could impact budget or schedule.
• Track project performance by evaluating daily production, schedule, and budget projections and document activities.
• Handle project quantity input and cost coding with finance and accounting teams for employee time, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve daily timecards with payroll and supervisors to resolve inquiries.
• Ensure quality at all stages by reviewing project specs and managing certificates/inspections/documentation.
• Plan field layout and coordinate utility and commercial line markings; obtain permits as needed before work begins.
• Assist in development of design drawings and provide technical input as required.
• Coordinate subcontractor work methods, schedules, and crews.
