Job summary

Lane Construction is seeking a Field Engineer as part of its Field Engineer Development Program (FEDP). The program begins in Cheshire, CT, with six months in the Cost Control Team before relocation to a project site for hands-on field experience.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and is willing to relocate. You will support scheduling, cost estimation, take-offs, and coordination with utilities while growing with one of America's leading

Responsibilities

• Handles both office and field responsibilities to meet the project requirements, including implementation of scheduled work and tracking data.
• Assists in the scheduling and planning of project activities.
• Prepares cost and time estimates to aid in meeting budget.
• Performs take-offs.
• Creates submittals.
• Assists with survey activities.
• Tracks job quantities and costs during project activities.
• Identifies conflicts between design plans and onsite conditions.
• Coordinates with third party utility providers to ensure all utilities are identified and located prior to work execution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This role is part of Lane's 2-year Field Engineer Development Program (FEDP). The Field Engineer will spend the first six months supporting Lane's Cost Control Team inCheshire, CT. After six months, the Field Engineer will relocate to a project site to complete the program and gain hands-on field experience.
