Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer/Inspector for the FCI Leavenworth Prison project in Leavenworth, KS. The role requires a high school diploma and at least 5 years of construction contract administration and QA/QC inspection experience.

You will perform daily site inspections, coordinate with the BOP and other stakeholders, and manage project records and change orders to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and codes. Must be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 5 years in construction contract administration and inspection (QA/QC).
• US citizen; OSHA 30-hour safety training required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to create/edit Word and Excel; proficient with Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam.
• Experience reviewing change orders, pay apps, schedules, and other construction documentation.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain excellent relationships with BOP client representatives, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Provide daily site inspections to verify functionality of operational systems and coordinate with warranty contractors.
• Coordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulators.
• Prepare daily reports and review contractor schedule progress.
• Estimate, review and advise on the accuracy of contractor change orders.
• Coordinate 3rd-party testing and inspections; maintain project records.
