Summary / Objective
Promote the company mission statement while being responsible for direct hands-on work of a crew(s) and/or Trade Partners to produce units of construction which are assigned per project by a Superintendent or Project Manager. Ensure crew always operates within Harper’s safety and quality standards. Plan and assign work; track and account for labor hours and productivity; supervise activities of a construction crew(s) and/or Trade Partners.

Work Environment
This role may require walking over varied terrain, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting. Lifting requirements vary from minimal loads to heavy; but help is always available with heavier loads.
Physical Demands
The Field Engineer is required to work in a variety of conditions relative to construction jobsite environments and must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, as assigned. Weather and climate conditions will vary throughout the progress of a project and the Field Engineer must be able to inspect all ongoing construction activities over the duration of the assigned project. Inspection for quality, consistency and completeness of work frequently requires climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding.
Travel Required
TravelrequirementsarebasedonProjectAssignment.Whenassignedtoa project outside of your Primary Work Area or Geographical Work Area you will follow the guidelines in our “Travel Policy.”There may be a business need for overnight stays when working on a project some distance from your assigned office or your home.
Education and Experience
- 4-year college degree in related field with jobsite experience as an intern during school with an established GC.
- OSHA 30 certified (preferred).
- Proventrackrecordofastrongsafetycultureonthejobsite–isaleaderinsafety.
- Hassomeexperiencebuildingfromthegrounduponmorethan1project.
- DemonstrateanunderstandingofPlans and Specs.
