Job summary

The D.A. Collins Family of Companies is seeking a reliable Field Engineer to join a dedicated team in Wilton, NY. This full-time role offers a strong benefits package (health, dental, vision, and a company-funded retirement plan) and opportunities for career growth.

Responsibilities include evaluating construction plans, reviewing shop drawings, measuring work in place, and ensuring safety. Travel required; pre-employment drug screen is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or environmental engineering.
• 1–3 years' experience / internships / co-ops in a heavy civil environment.
• Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of business concepts & accounting.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to report to work on time.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze construction plans.
• Review shop drawing submittals.
• Measure and track quantities of work in place.
• Apply knowledge to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
• Solve moderately complex problems.
• Assist with creation of functional project schedules meeting deadlines.
• Maintain organized project records.
• Be dedicated to safety and a healthy work environment.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Possibly lift heavy objects and work under field conditions.
