Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation is seeking an Associate Field Engineer focused on Allen-Bradley PLC work, entering the controls industry on the ground floor with a clear path to becoming a hands-on controls specialist. You will travel to project sites and support commissioning, wiring verification, and networked control systems.
The role emphasizes hands-on learning in ControlLogix, CompactLogix, Studio 5000 exposure, and field problem solving, with opportunities to grow into advanced commissioning
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver's license is required and insurable.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing climbing tasks.
- Able to work at elevations and use ladders or lifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ControlLogix and CompactLogix panel checkout, wiring verification, I/O testing, device terminations, and controls commissioning.
- Maintain accurate PLC checkout sheets, I/O test records, redlines, deficiency logs, and network notes.
- Travel up to 50% as needed and be on site daily to support field execution and commissioning activities.
- Expand Allen-Bradley PLC knowledge through hands-on field exposure and mentorship.
