Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radar Systems Engineer to lead multi-site installations and act as the primary SME for RSR programs. The role requires extensive FAA radar experience, FAA training, and hands-on field work across NAS radar systems.

You will travel up to 75% to implement site plans and coordinate with FAA customers. Ideal candidates will bring FAA radar certification, risk-management expertise, and a proven ability to meet aggressive schedules while maintaining high-quality maintenance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience, or additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with research, design, and development of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Completion of formal Radar training at the FAA Academy.
  • Prior Radar certification authority at one or more airports.
  • Several years of hands-on field experience on one or more Radar systems in the active NAS.
  • Comprehensive understanding of FAA operational risk management practices.
  • Ability to perform at a high level independently and as part of a small team, while meeting an aggressive installation schedule.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality maintenance practices during RSR implementation.
  • Should be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Professionalism representing Leidos to FAA customers, consistent with delivering “best of the best” support.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FAA construction/installation requirements at RSR sites.

  • The ideal candidate is a prior FAA radar specialist (engineer, technician) with multi-year responsibility for radar systems in the operational NAS.
Pay Range

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
