Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Office/Field Engineer for a hands-on role supporting project Engineers and Supervisors on-site in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The position involves coordinating submittals, material deliveries, scheduling, and budget tracking to keep projects on track.

Ideal candidates will have 1–4 years of relevant experience, a B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field, proficiency with CAD, HCSS HeavyJob and Primavera, and strong communication within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in civil/construction roles or equivalent
• S. in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction management preferred
• Computer knowledge of office suite programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of CAD, HCSS HeavyJob, and Primavera a
• Ability to interface and effectively communicate with project teams

Responsabilités

• Assist Project Engineer and Superintendent with planning and daily execution
• Maintain project schedule aspects as assigned by Project Manager
• Manage submittal approvals and timely delivery of materials
• Maintain schedules and budgets
• Coordinate procurement and subcontractor scheduling

Position Summary

The primary role of the Office/Field Engineer is to assist the Project Engineer and Superintendent with the planning and daily execution of the project. Responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the project schedule as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

Shared time between office and field management operations may include:

• Safety meetings
• Processing of submittals and request for information
• Cost analysis and projections
• Payment requisitions
• Change order estimating
• Supervision and quality inspection of field work (including night work)
• Procurement of materials
• Subcontractor scheduling and coordination
• Scheduling - use of critical path logic
• Third party outreach / coordination

Job Skills, Experience And Qualifications
