Zusammenfassung

Bowen is seeking a Field Engineer to assist field supervisors in managing construction activities. You will work with the Superintendent, Foremen, and Project Team to coordinate layout, procurement, document control, safety, and closeout tasks on the project site.

You will interpret designs, prepare RFIs, and maintain logs, while assisting in production management and cost tracking. Strong communication and reading of plans are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Basic understanding of cost analysis
• Required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25-50 pounds

• Ensures approved shop drawings, plans and specs and accurate field measurements are used in operations plans; addresses discrepancies with Project Team
• Manages Field Procurement System
• Performs new-hire orientations and ensures paperwork is completed for HR/Payroll
• Ensures craft payroll is completed accurately and assigns cost codes
• Assists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoring
• Assists in daily production management activities including evaluation of daily crew cost against budget

The Field Engineer works closely with field supervisors in managing construction aspects of the project. You will become familiar with the roles of the Superintendent, Project Engineer, and Project Manager and will assist them in managing all construction processes to reach the goals set for the project. You will work closely with the Superintendent and Foremen. Duties will typically include, but are not limited to, layout, field purchasing, document control, preplanning, safety, quality, production management, and project closeout.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports implementation of Bowen SQP process
• Participate in all preplanning activities
• Performs layout duties as required by the Superintendent
• Maintain field document control systems
• Interprets designs and drawings; Researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors
• Prepares RFIs. Maintains RFI logs and timely response to job questions
• Prepares drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, estimates, etc.
• Ensures approved shop drawings, plans and specifications, and accurate field measurements are utilized in Operations Plans execution and addresses discrepancies with Project Team
• Manages Field Procurement System
• Performs new-hire orientations and ensures appropriate paperwork is completed and forwarded onto HR/Payroll for processing.
• Ensures craft payroll is completed accurately, reflecting hours worked and tasks worked on; assigns cost codes to all purchases, time cards, equipment time and any other item involving cost
• Assists Superintendent with daily job reports and schedule monitoring
• Assist in daily production management activities including evaluation of daily crew cost against activity budget

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
