Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for electrical and I&C installation activities on large gas turbine equipment.
• Oversee installation of cable trays, MV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, and instrumentation.
• Review installation drawings and documentation for compliance.
• Monitor installation quality and address deficiencies.
• Guide installation contractors and customer personnel to resolve issues.

Schedule: Approximately 40–50 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Technical Field Advisor (TFA) to support the construction and installation of large-scale industrial gas turbine equipment at a power generation facility in Turney, Missouri.

This position will serve as the primary technical representative overseeing electrical and instrumentation & controls (I&C) installation activities, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, installation procedures, and quality standards.

The ideal professional will have previous experience supporting Siemens gas turbine installations, a strong electrical/I&C background, and the ability to provide technical guidance to contractors and customer representatives in a field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and advisory support for electrical and I&C installation activities associated with large-scale gas turbine equipment.
• Oversee installation of cable trays, electrical cabling, MV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, and instrumentation.
• Review installation drawings, technical documentation, procedures, and equipment specifications.
• Monitor electrical equipment assembly, cable terminations, and installation quality to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance to installation contractors and customer personnel, identifying and resolving installation issues.
• Inspect installation activities, document quality deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support electrical testing, inspection activities, and preparation for commissioning.
• Maintain daily progress reports, inspection documentation, quality checklists, and technical records.
• Coordinate with project management, contractors, and customer representatives regarding technical issues, schedules, and installation progress.
• Support preparation of redline drawings, installation records, and final turnover documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting Siemens gas turbine electrical installations.
• Demonstrated experience as a Technical Field Advisor, Field Service Engineer, Electrical Field Engineer, or Electrical/I&C Installation Specialist.
• Strong understanding of electrical equipment installation within power generation facilities.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, cable terminations, switchgear, transformers, and industrial instrumentation.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications, and installation/commissioning documentation.
• Experience providing field-based technical oversight and coordinating with contractors and customers.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Turney, Missouri for the duration of the assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-frame industrial gas turbines and associated balance-of-plant electrical systems.
• Previous involvement in gas turbine installation, construction, or commissioning projects.
• Familiarity with electrical quality inspections, installation documentation, and technical reporting.
• Experience serving as the primary electrical technical point of contact on power generation construction projects.

This is an immediate contract opportunity supporting an active power generation construction project. The initial assignment is expected to run through December 2026, with high potential for extension or consideration for future projects.
