Job summary

Ryan Companies US Inc is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer in Tampa, Florida. This position reports to the Superintendent and aids the project team in achieving project completion through supporting roles in the office and field.

Responsibilities include shop drawing coordination, estimating, material purchasing, and monitoring subcontractor activities. A 4-year degree in a construction-related field is required, along with the ability to interface with project stakeholders.

Job description

The Field Engineer is an entry-level position reporting to the Superintendent with indirect reporting to the Project Manager, assisting the project team in the completion of a designated project. This position provides education in field and office operations and demonstrates how these efforts relate to the physical construction of the project.

Responsibilities

• Shop drawing coordination
• Office/field support staff
• Estimating and quantity take off
• Purchase necessary materials to complete assigned tasks
• Maintain material and equipment inventory at project site
• Schedule monitoring and updating
• Monitor assigned subcontracts, subcontractor schedules relative to material deliveries and subcontractor manpower
• Significant involvement in preparing billings and reviewing invoices
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required, preferably in a construction‑related field
• Ability to assume responsibility and interface with stakeholders
