Insight Global is seeking a Traveling AV Field Technician / Field Engineer to support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of advanced AV systems across client sites in the Northeast and nationwide. You will work as the on-site AV expert, ensuring high-quality deployments and smooth project delivery.

The role requires extensive travel, CTS/CTS-I or similar certifications preferred, and the ability to read and interpret AV drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as an AV Field Technician or Field Engineer.
• Experience installing and commissioning AV control systems and conferencing tech.
• Ability to read AV drawings, schematics, and installation docs.
• Must have a complete on-site AV toolkit and equipment to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel extensively (80%+ in Northeast/Mid-Atlantic, up to 20% nationwide).
• CTS/CTS-I, Dante, Crestron, Biamp or similar AV certifications preferred.
• Experience with executive boardrooms, conference centers, and large deployments.
• Passport for international travel opportunities.

We are seeking a highly motivated Traveling AV Field Technician / Field Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of advanced audio-visual systems across client sites throughout the Northeast and across the United States. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who enjoys working in different environments, traveling to customer locations, and serving as the on-site expert during AV deployments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience with enterprise AV installations, video conferencing solutions, control systems, and integrated collaboration technologies. You will work independently and alongside project teams to ensure high-quality installations and successful project delivery.

Skills and Requirements

3-5+ years of experience as an AV Field Technician, Field Engineer, or AV Installation Technician.

Strong experience installing and commissioning AV control systems and conferencing technologies from manufacturers such as DSP, Crestron, Extron, QSP and Biamp.

Experience reading and interpreting AV system drawings, schematics, and installation documentation.

Must possess and maintain a complete AV Field Technician tool kit and equipment required to perform installations independently.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Must be comfortable traveling extensively outside of the NYC Metro area, with approximately 80% travel throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and up to 20% nationwide travel as business needs dictate.

Ability to travel overnight during project deployments and work flexible schedules when necessary. CTS, CTS-I, Dante, Crestron, Biamp, or other AV industry certifications.

Experience supporting executive boardrooms, conference centers, and large-scale enterprise AV deployments.

Valid passport for potential international travel opportunities.

Experience troubleshooting network-connected AV systems.
