Job summary

Power Design is seeking a motivated Field Engineer to work onsite at our jobsites, under supervision of a Superintendent and project team. You will gain hands-on experience with electrical installation scopes and learn all business aspects of running large-scale construction projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior team members, suppliers, and customers, with training to use state-of-the-art technology on assigned projects and opportunities for relocation as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree in construction or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving aptitude.
• Strong communication and organization skills; proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project deliverables and coordination across phases.
• Support safety culture on site and identify hazards.
• Coordinate schedules, labor forecast, inventory, and project correspondence.
• Interact with customers and trades in the field.
• Learn and apply new technologies in our training facility and on projects.

Power Design is a Nationwide Electrical contractor and our Field Engineers are working locally on our jobsites, cultivating their career by experiencing our projects firsthand. Under the supervision and mentorship of a Superintendent and project team, you will learn all of the business aspects of running large-scale construction projects. It is a perfect fit for motivated, driven individuals to quickly grow in the organization.

position details/responsibilities...

• Gaining firsthand experience of the electrical installation scopes of work including decks, rough, trim and distribution.
• Play a key role in helping the project team succeed by providing support with project deliverables throughout all phases of construction, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Help to continue and build our culture of Safety onsite by recognizing safety hazards and ensuring corrections
• Collaborate with senior team members, suppliers and contractors to coordinate schedules, mange the labor forecast, inventory, material and project correspondence (orders, timesheets, etc.).
• Interacting with customers and other trades while representing the organization in the field.
• After receiving training in our state-of-the-art facility, utilize cutting-edge technology to assist on assigned projects.

• College graduate with a construction-related degree, or individual with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Detail-oriented professional with the ability to quickly solve problems, who loves new challenges and is seeking a defined career path.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
