Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Houston, TX seeks a Field Engineer to join our client’s team, focusing on vibration analysis and performance of rotating and fixed equipment.

This is a direct hire with extensive travel (50–75%). You will perform data acquisition, analyze vibration data, and support commissioning and service activities.

Requirements include a Mechanical Engineering degree, CAT II Vibration Certification, CAD skills (PTC Creo/SolidWorks/Solid Edge), and familiarity with Mathcad or Matlab.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• CAT II Vibration Certification is required with >6 months experience.
• Proficiency with data acquisition and vibration monitoring equipment.
• Ability to work safely around industrial equipment.
• Basic 3D CAD modeling in PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge.
• Familiarity with Mathcad, Matlab, DADiSP or similar.

Responsibilities

• Travel 50–75% to client sites.
• Perform vibration data collection and analysis.
• Operate and maintain data acquisition equipment.
• Support installation, commissioning, and servicing of rotating equipment.
• Ensure safe operation around heavy industrial equipment.

I have a client in the Houston, TX area actively looking to add a Field Engineerto their team. If you or any of your colleagues are interested in discussing this role.

In this role, you will be working as a Field Engineer for a company that specializes in the performance, thermodynamics and heat transfer, vibration and analysis of rotating and fixed equipment.

This is a Direct HireRole. In this role, you will be traveling 50% - 75% of the time.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• CAT II Vibration Certification and more than 6 months demonstrated experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with data acquisition and vibration monitoring equipment, exercising care for sensitive instruments, cables and analyzers.
• Ability to perform safely and independently around operating industrial equipment, such as reciprocating and centrifugal gas compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, generators, and other industrial equipment as needs arise.
• Applicants should have basic 3D CAD modeling experience in either PTC Creo, SolidWorks, or Solid Edge.
• Applicants should have basic familiarity with numerical calculation tools like Mathcad, Matlab, DADiSP, or similar.
