Reconstruction Experts is seeking a Field Engineer to lead onsite construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, and accurate billing while mentoring subcontractor partners. The role emphasizes strong documentation, inspections, and collaboration with project managers to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates have experience in reconstruction, solid MS Office skills, and the ability to drive projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with an associate degree in Construction or related experience.
  • Experience preferred in reconstruction/field operations and site management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools; strong safety knowledge.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead onsite construction operations and manage daily project documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Coordinate inspections, logs, and QA/QC data entry.
  • Assist in contract development for owners and subcontractors with PM and legal guidance.
  • Obtain permits and qualify subcontractors for bids.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, change orders, invoices, RFIs, and schedules.
  • Ensure timely reports and effective communication with project team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily project reports and documentation.
  • Conduct safety inspections, including scaffold and PPE reviews, and Controlled Zone upkeep.
  • Coordinate inspections and maintain up-to-date inspection and photo logs.
  • Perform QA/QC data entry and manage construction red-lines.
  • Oversee site cleaning, traffic control, signage, material runs, and other site duties.
  • Assist in generating contracts for owners and subcontractors with guidance from the project manager and legal counsel.
  • Obtain necessary permits from governing authorities.
  • Qualify and contact subcontractors for bids; schedule and manage bid submissions.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including budget adjustments, change orders, invoices, RFIs, and schedules.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the project.
  • Collaborate with project manager and superintendent to address production and quality control issues.
  • Interpret plans and specifications to determine construction requirements.
  • Document projects through site inspections, photos, meeting minutes, take-offs, and other methods.
  • Assist in developing project scopes of work.
  • Compile cut sheets, color selections, manufacturer’s warranties, test data, shop drawings, etc.
  • Monitor work progress and report any issues to the project manager and superintendent.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all reports and records.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit at a computer, and work in confined spaces.
  • Capability to drive, climb ladders and stairs, work at heights over 6 feet, kneel, crouch, stoop, twist, reach, push, pull, and grasp frequently.
  • Willingness to work over 40 hours per week as needed and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, exercise independent judgment, and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.
Experience:
  • Previous experience in the reconstruction industry is preferred but not required.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
