Job summary

Martin County Hospital District in Stanton, Texas is seeking an EMT to respond to out‑of‑hospital emergencies and support MCHD EMS operations across the county.

You must hold a current Texas DSHS EMT certification or license and complete AHA‑approved BLS training on hire; 1 year of 911 experience is preferred. Strong communication and the ability to operate radios and electronic patient care records are essential.

Qualifications

• EMT responds to out-of-hospital emergencies.
• Must be credentialed by the EMS Medical Director and operate within the MCHD scope.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to utilize radios and electronic patient care records.
• Independent duty after clearance and field leadership to manage patients on BLS trucks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to out-of-hospital emergencies as an EMS professional.
• Lead the scene and manage patients on BLS units.
• Maintain field equipment, radios, and patient care records.
• Ensure ambulances are stocked, clean, and ready to respond to all calls.
