Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Huntsville, AL is seeking a hands-on Cable Harness Fabrication Technician to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components for flight and ground support hardware.

You will interpret engineering drawings, build assemblies with minimal instructions, and perform in-process inspections, while maintaining documentation and quality standards.

US citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance are required; occasional travel to remote sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical background with drawings, measurements, and tool identification
• Basic familiarity with harness fabrication and cable/connector assembly
• Ability to obtain IPC620 and IPC610 certifications

Responsibilities

• Fabricate cable assemblies for flight and ground support hardware.
• Assemble electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical components.
• Interpret engineering drawings and perform initial layouts.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections and continuity checks.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies under simulated conditions.
