Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a skilled Security Service Technician to support a U.S. Marshals Service security systems program in the Midland, TX area.

The role requires installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading electronic security systems in mission-critical environments. The technician will work independently in the field, respond to service calls, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic security systems.
• Experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance/CCTV, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency using electronic service management platforms, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, operating lifts, and working in confined spaces.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a favorable DOJ background determination.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, repair, calibrate, modify, and maintain electronic security systems.
• Perform break-fix and preventive maintenance on PACS, CCTV, IDS, intercoms, security consoles, and related hardware.
• Complete software and firmware upgrades on security equipment.
• Support emergency service calls and urgent troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with system installations, upgrades, replacements, and site assessments.
• Maintain service tickets, reports, inventory records, and field logs.
• Travel within the assigned territory to service customer sites.
