Job summary

ERock in Houston is seeking an Electrical Specialist - Field to bridge design engineering, construction and system commissioning. You will support backup generation, protection relays, and energy storage systems to keep customers powered during outages.

Read schematics, analyze system function, and travel to job sites as needed. Communicate clearly with technicians and non-technical stakeholders, and document findings to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent field experience.
• Hands-on field experience in site construction, testing, and operation.
• Knowledge of NEC/NFPA, the NESC, UL, and IEEE standards.
• Experience with CAD/ETAP or electrical simulation software is a plus.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand system schematics and cable schedules.
• Communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Support PLCs, protection relays, and energy storage systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution components.
• Travel to sites as required to support field operations.
