Job summary

ERock, headquartered in Houston, seeks an Electrical Designer to support multiple Microgrid EPC projects. You will prepare one-line diagrams, layouts, MTOs, and installation details under the supervision of a Senior/Lead Engineer.

The role reports to the Director of Microgrid Engineering and will operate on a hybrid schedule from our downtown Houston, TX office. Requires 4+ years in electrical design, CAD/AutoCAD proficiency, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

Associates in CAD & Design or Electrical Engineering from accredited university.
4+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Design required.
Strong computer skills including MS Office and PDF editing software.
Demonstrated proficiency to do AutoCAD drawings.
Mobility to work in an office setting and perform occasional site visits.

Responsibilities

Complete Electrical designs and layouts for complete systems and components of a project.
Prepares project design packages typically comprising one lines, layouts, MTOs, installation details, etc.
Ensures compliance with required specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.
Designs and creates orthographic (2D) drawings.
Collaborates with Engineers and Designers to ensure quality of design.
Responsible for ensuring that tasks assigned are completed on time and are of good quality.
Other items as required by Engineering management team.
