Job summary

Trinity Electric Services Inc. in Detroit is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead daily field operations on commercial and industrial projects.

You will review plans, lay out installations, inspect work quality, and troubleshoot issues while mentoring electricians and apprentices onsite. The role requires a Journeyperson license, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to coordinate crews across multiple project sites in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in electricity and electrical engineering principles for commercial and industrial environments.
• Experience in electrical contracting, including project execution and NEC/local codes.
• Proficiency in wiring, installation of power distribution systems, and reading electrical drawings/schematics.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical issues in complex systems.
• Previous leadership experience as a foreman, lead electrician, or equivalent supervisory role on construction or industrial sites.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and best practices for hazard recognition and mitigation.
• Ability to organize crews, manage schedules, track materials, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
• Journeyperson license or equivalent certification; additional training preferred.
• Experience with commercial and industrial projects, including new construction, facility upgrades, and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site throughout the Detroit Metropolitan Area and regional locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily electrical field operations and task assignments.
• Coordinate crews and ensure on-time, safe completion per plans and project specs.
• Review plans and drawings, lay out installations, inspect quality, and troubleshoot issues.
• Mentor electricians and apprentices; maintain tools and materials.
• Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
• Document progress and support schedule and budget adherence.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the job site.
