Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Electrical Engineer for on-site support across BESS construction, installation and commissioning in the United States, with regular travel to project sites. You will review drawings, oversee installation of MV/LV infrastructure, coordinate with EPCs, vendors and field staff, and support testing, startup and energization activities in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience supporting power generation, renewable energy, utility, or industrial projects.
Strong field experience in electrical construction, installation, testing or startup.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site electrical engineering support during BESS construction, installation, commissioning and energization.
Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, equipment specs, calculations, and construction packages.
Oversee installation of BESS containers, inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and MV/LV infrastructure.
Perform field inspections for code compliance and quality.
Coordinate with engineering teams, EPC contractors, vendors and project stakeholders.
Review RFIs, submittals, field changes and technical issues; troubleshoot field issues.
Support testing, startup, system integration and energization activities.
Monitor contractor performance, progress, safety and workmanship.
Assist with punch lists, as-built docs, turnover packages and closeout.
Travel regularly to project sites across the United States.
