Field Electrical Engineer (Ref.TINC/EFE-I2S)

We are looking for a professional willing to join our Cold Rolling team, with the motivation to work within an international and challenging environment.

The Field Engineer is responsible for supervising the installation of electrical equipment in a steel mill environment and overseeing start-up and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities include:

1. Serving as the primary onsite contact for electrical activities.
2. Overseeing installation and commissioning of electrical control systems and field service calls.
3. Resolving operational issues to minimize costs and delays.
4. Working on control systems like PLC, PC-based automation, MCC, power distribution, AC/DC drives, operator controls, HMIs, and associated sensors, motors, and actuators.

Required profile:

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and motor controls.
• Programming experience with Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix, GE PLCs.
• Experience with HMIs like Wonderware, Interacty X, RSView, WinCC.
• Familiarity with high-level languages like LabView, Microsoft Studio, Pascal, Delphi is a plus.
• Electrical control systems troubleshooting experience (ASEE, BSEE, military training, or extensive experience).
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred skills:

• Experience in SAP.
• Experience in the metals industry, especially cold rolling mills.
• Experience with large AC/DC drives is a plus.

Additional details:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year

Benefits include 401(k), health/dental insurance, paid time off, remote work, and more.

Schedule involves an 8-hour shift with travel up to 80% of the time, possibly lasting days to weeks.

Locations: Pittsburgh, PA 15108 or Wallingford, CT 06492. Relocation or reliable commuting required.
