Job summary

Capital Electric is seeking a Field Service Technician to support electrical system diagnostics, inspections, and energy-reduction initiatives across commercial and industrial sites. You will perform power quality analyses, infrared scans, and air-leak surveys, then document findings for clients and internal teams.

The role requires travel to customer sites, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical testing and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret field data and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct power quality studies using monitoring equipment.
• Perform infrared (IR) thermal scans of electrical equipment.
• Carry out air leak detection surveys in facilities.
• Document findings and prepare service reports.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and suppliers for corrective actions.
• Maintain service equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Travel to customer locations across the region as needed.
