Job summary

Kinetik is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support field EHS activities across gas plants, compressor stations, and gathering systems. The role requires problem-solving, adaptability, and clear communication, reporting to the North Delaware Manager of Environmental Compliance.

The candidate will assist with regulatory compliance, environmental programs, permit monitoring, and spill prevention. Must be able to work independently and travel within the region for field assignments.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in an oil and gas related field or EHS position.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience gathering data and organizing data.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Computer knowledge (MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Assist management, operations, and project teams to assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate environmental rules.
• Plan, implement, and audit environmental programs and policies.
• Ensure permit compliance by aiding Environmental Specialists in monitoring and recordkeeping.
• Assist with waste and remediation activities and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee third party remediation crews for safety and proper methods.
• Review MOC’s for environmental impacts and document information or initiate permitting when required.
• Ensure SPCC compliance and support spill response and reporting.
• Coordinate LDAR and remediation contractor activities; assist with audits and closure of findings.
• Maintain knowledge of current and proposed regulations affecting plants and pipelines.
• Communicate updates on releases and permit deviations to management meetings.
• Learn operating principles of natural gas compression/processing facilities and work independently on leak repair decisions.
