Job summary

Boart Longyear is seeking an EHS&T Supervisor to support operations across the western region, based in Glendale, AZ. This field-based role works with drill crews and leadership to reinforce safety, health, and training standards while traveling to sites across multiple states.

You will own safety training programs, coach safe behaviors, conduct site inspections, ensure compliance, maintain documentation, and lead incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or at least 7 years of experience in the mining industry.
• 3+ years of experience in the drilling industry or similar industrial contract service organization.
• Certifications in industrial health and safety preferred (CIH, CSP, CMSP, etc).
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel extensively as required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Effective time and priority management skills.
• Strong ability for problem-solving and situational analysis.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related software tools.

Responsibilities

• Coaches safe behaviors on site with drill crews and supervisors.
• Owns and delivers safety training programs with leadership and HR.
• Drives employee progression and competency development in the field.
• Tracks training requirements and closes gaps through targeted training.
• Performs frequent site visits and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Provides EHS&T oversight for offices and maintenance shop operations.
• Ensures all safety documentation is accurate, complete, and field-ready.
• Investigates incidents, near misses, and injuries and leads corrective actions.
• Prepares regulatory and internal reports in compliance with requirements.
• Partners with leadership to enforce EHS&T expectations and maintain strong relationships.
• Travel extensively to support operations.
