Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced In-Field EHS Consultant to provide on-site safety leadership on construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy and technology projects across the United States. You will partner with project management teams, craft professionals, contractors, and owners to promote a strong safety culture, conduct audits, and ensure OSHA compliance and incident prevention.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Environmental Health & Safety experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, utility, data center, semiconductor, or similar environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.
• Experience conducting field audits, inspections, safety observations, training, and corrective action management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, craft personnel, subcontractors, and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations, inspections, and audits.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with project teams.
• Monitor contractor OSHA compliance and site safety requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Prepare safety reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and safe work plans.
• Support high‑risk activities (fall protection, LOTO, confined space, crane/rigging, excavation, hot work, electrical).
• Serve as liaison between workers, supervisors, subcontractors, and clients on EHS matters.
• Maintain an active field presence and promote safe practices.
• Assist clients with regulatory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
