Job summary

Base is seeking an EHS Engineer to support field operations in Texas. You will conduct hazard assessments, investigate incidents, address safety concerns, and partner with site leaders to prevent injuries while maintaining environmental compliance with all regulations.

You will perform industrial hygiene studies, inspect facilities and equipment, investigate accidents for root causes, and manage waste responsibly within safety and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis in occupational health and safety and/or environmental engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental, health and safety disciplines design, development and oversight.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations and how to apply them.
• Experience with emergency response communication and incident management involving hazardous/non-hazardous releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain compliance with regulations and guidelines (Texas Health and Safety Codes, OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH).
• Collaborate to complete job hazard assessments and implement safety policies.
• Conduct industrial hygiene studies to analyze manufacturing byproducts against health thresholds.
• Inspect facilities and equipment to identify hazards and implement controls.
• Investigate accidents to determine root causes and preventive actions.
• Develop safety solutions within cost and schedule constraints, using elimination, engineering controls, training, PPE.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
