Job summary

Stay Alert Safety Services (SASS), a company of AWP Safety, is seeking an EHS Coordinator to support facility locations and operating teams in Greensboro, NC. You will coach field personnel on safe operating behaviors and help develop and implement safety and risk control programs across the region.

The role involves site visits, incident investigations, SOP updates, and mentoring staff within the AWP Safety Management System to ensure safety performance aligns with company goals and regulatory

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of work experience in the EHS field.
• Associates degree in EHS or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering/Management preferred.
• Understanding of OSHA orders and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily and on-going safety support to the designated region.
• Plan, assign, and monitor safety tasks; coach and evaluate performance.
• Develop positive team environment and drive team dynamics.
• Supervise activities of teams providing operational safety support.
• Understand company goals to meet regional objectives.
• Perform site visits and safety/compliance assessments (8/week).
• Maintain and update SOPs for safe work practices and equipment.
• Coach and mentor regional employees within the Safety Management System.
• Review incidents and lead investigations and corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
