Job summary

Blue Signal Search seeks an experienced field-focused project leader for New York City commercial interiors, relocations, and furniture installations. You will own field execution, lead union crews, coordinate with clients, and ensure projects move from mobilization through closeout in occupied spaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on project leadership in NYC office moves or interiors.
• Experience directing union labor on active commercial job sites.
• Knowledge of floor plans, furniture specs, and installation drawings.
• Comfort working in occupied Manhattan environments with tenant coordination and off-hours schedules.
• Strong client-facing communication and ability to work with building personnel.
• Ability to adapt to schedule changes and track labor and materials.

Responsibilities

• Own field execution for office relocations, furniture installations, decommissioning, and related workplace projects from mobilization through closeout.
• Direct union crews and field leaders, setting daily priorities while maintaining safe, organized, and productive job sites.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for clients, property teams, contractors, furniture partners, and technology vendors.
• Review floor plans and installation drawings to translate project requirements into clear field direction.
• Monitor labor hours, materials, schedule impacts, and evolving scope, escalating changes before they disrupt delivery.
• Manage work in occupied commercial buildings, including evenings, weekends, and other off-hours windows.
• Oversee project closeout activities, including completion reviews and client approvals.
• Spend the majority of the week in the field across New York City and surrounding metro.
