Job summary

HLZAE, Inc. in New York, NY, is seeking a Field Project Associate / Architect to support our Architecture team on façade restoration projects. With 40%–60% field time, you will inspect sites, document findings, and help with design documentation and municipal filings.

You will produce architectural drawings in AutoCAD, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure quality across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of field experience in construction/restoration.
• BA in Architecture or equivalent.
• Proficient in producing construction documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects (4–7) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers on medium-to-large architectural projects.
• Lead smaller assignments with growing independence.
• Conduct on-site inspections from scaffolding and lifts.
• Produce detailed drawings and project documents.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants.
• Monitor construction activity for plan adherence.
• Stay current with New York City building codes and zoning.
