Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a field engineer to coordinate and execute field engineering activities, ensuring technical solutions meet project goals and quality standards. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to resolve challenges and improve construction processes, sharing knowledge to support operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in field engineering, with an associate degree and OSHA/CPR certifications.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of field engineering, construction management, or related experience.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred and must obtain within 6 months; First Aid and CPR required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with technical review and implementation of engineering plans independently, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality expectations.
  • Works with project managers, field staff, superintendents, self-perform teams and subcontractors to help address general technical issues and keep the project moving forward.
  • Supports site inspections and assessments, identifying potential risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Assists with gathering and organizing technical documents to help keep information accurate and up-to-date.
  • Recommends process improvements by analyzing field operations and suggesting methods or technologies to improve efficiency and quality, including prefabrication opportunities.
  • Shares technical updates with project leaders and team members to keep everyone informed.

Job Summary

Participates in the coordination and execution of field engineering activities to ensure technical solutions meet project goals and quality standards. Works with multidisciplinary teams to help resolve technical challenges and improve construction processes. Contributes to project outcomes by applying engineering knowledge and identifying opportunities for efficiency. Shares field engineering knowledge by collaborating with project teams and assisting peers and other team members. Promotes continuous improvement by reviewing field practices and suggesting enhancements to support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists with technical review and implementation of engineering plans independently, ensuring work meets project specifications and quality expectations.

Education Qualifications

Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience

2 - 4 years of experience in field engineering, construction management, or a related field required.

Certifications and Licenses
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
  • First Aid and CPR certification required.
  • ASHE, CHC, or relevant market certification preferred.
