Job summary

Maxwell Construction is seeking a motivated Construction Management Co‑op or Intern to join our team on a major project in Muncie, Indiana. This hands-on, field-based opportunity provides exposure to commercial construction operations and project management.

Responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent, coordinating with subcontractors, tracking progress, handling submittals and RFIs, and supporting planning, safety, and quality initiatives on site.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Procore is preferred.
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow in construction operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project operations.
• Support subcontractor coordination and communication.
• Track project progress and maintain documentation.
• Process submittals, RFIs, and other project-related correspondence.
• Assist with scheduling and project planning activities.
• Conduct jobsite walks and monitor progress.
• Support quality control and safety initiatives.
• Coordinate material deliveries and equipment logistics.
• Maintain document control and project records.
• Participate in meetings and prepare notes.
• Assist with punch lists and closeout documentation.
• Perform field verification, layout assistance, and quantity tracking as needed.
