Job summary

JP Cullen is offering a paid internship in Milwaukee, providing hands-on exposure to field and project management tasks on active construction projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager or Superintendent, gaining experience across shop drawings, RFIs, scheduling, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager and field teams with assignments and coordination.
• Expedite, review, and coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
• Assist in organizing and estimating change orders; contact subcontractors for pricing.
• Evaluate field issues, document problems, and prepare RFIs for designers.
• Update project schedules using Primavera P6 and coordinate with subs.
• Produce sketches/drawings for field use using CAD or paper tools.
• Prepare project closeout documents and organize record drawings and warranties.
• Coordinate weekly jobsite meetings and document minutes; track subcontractor commitments.
• Procure materials, set up delivery logs, track shipments, and ensure proper labeling.
