Job summary

ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is seeking a field-oriented candidate in Chantilly, VA to support facilities-related tasks on active projects. You will conduct on-site observations and assist with roofing, waterproofing, fireproofing, EIFS, and related investigations.

The role emphasizes physical readiness to lift 40–70 lbs, strong interest in building forensics and mechanical systems, and reliable transportation with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree.
• Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures.
• Position requires carrying 40 - 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height.
• Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field observations associated with existing facilities.
• Perform facilities-related services including roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and fire stopping, EIFS, anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations.
• Attend project meetings and assist in project resolutions.
• Assist with the resolution of both technical and administrative project issues.

Pursuing Engineering/Architecture/Building Science degree (Associate/Bachelor/Master)
