Job summary

Huseman Group is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to work closely with the Superintendent, coordinating daily construction activities and ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery on projects in Cincinnati, OH. This hands-on role requires problem-solving, attention to detail, and strong collaboration with trade partners and engineers.

You’ll read blueprints, manage schedules, and help resolve field issues while maintaining high standards of workmanship and compliance with codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• 2+ years of construction management or related field experience.
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and inspection compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily construction activities.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work complies with codes, safety regulations, and requirements.
• Help manage construction schedules, coordinate deadlines, and adjust to keep milestones on track.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure work meets contractual requirements.
• Assist with material procurement, inventory management, and on-site deliveries.
• Conduct regular jobsite inspections to monitor quality and address issues.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve design challenges.
• Maintain accurate logs, project costs, and field documentation.
• Prepare progress reports for clients and leadership.
