Job summary

Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. (TWE) seeks a Driller's Assistant for the Field Services Division in Beaumont, Texas. You will support drilling, sampling geotechnical borings, and installation of wells, under supervision, with full training provided.

The role requires physical work in varying weather, attention to safety, and readiness to travel. English literacy, background and hair follicle drug test clearance are required, and a Texas driver’s license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Able to pass an initial, random, and annual hair follicle drug test.
• Hold a Texas Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.
• Able to physically implement work duties in various weather elements.
• Able to lift heavy items and conduct maintenance to equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driller with field activities, including drilling and sampling of geotechnical test borings, and installation of wells.
• Physically complete labor-intensive projects as assigned by the Driller/Project Coordinator/Project Manager.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of TWE equipment and field operations.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify maintenance needs.
• Complete all required paperwork, including daily reports and safety forms.
• Attend safety meetings and comply with safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and equipment areas.
• Turn in all paperwork daily to the office.
