Job summary

BrandSafway is seeking a field drill operator to safely run drill rigs and related equipment at drilling sites. You will select bits, maintain machines, and drive to locations, following safety policies and project requirements.

Ideal candidates have a CDL Class A, 1 year of vertical drilling experience, and are willing to travel 75% with 12-hour shifts. BrandSafway offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Willing to work 3 weeks on and 1 week off.
• Valid CDL Class A license from state of residence.
• Minimum of 1 year vertical drilling experience.
• Minimum of 6 months driving experience.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and background check.
• Must have acceptable driving record per Vehicle Policy.
• Must work safely and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate drill rig and equipment during installation.
• Select and attach drill bits and rods; add rods as holes deepen.
• Maintain and upgrade machines; replace parts and lubricate machinery.
• Operate controls to position drills and stabilize rigs.
• Regulate air pressure, speed, and downward force by rock type.
• Drive and position trucks and truck-mounted drills to sites.
• Review client requirements and project locations for feasibility and cost.
• Document drilling progress and record geological data.
