Job summary

Encore Dredging Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Dredge Tender Boat Operator in Port Lavaca, TX. The role involves operating and maintaining industrial support vessels alongside dredging operations, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Tender Boat Operator experience, strong mechanical and safety skills, and the ability to work 12-hour shifts with travel as required. Per diem benefits and lodging are not provided by the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of experience as a Tender Boat Operator.
• Strong safety and mechanical skills.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements outlined in the job description.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test and fit test) and random drug/alcohol testing.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.
• No captain’s or mariner’s license is required; this is not a licensed position.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the dredge, tender vessel, and associated equipment.
• Secure mooring lines to the dredge, scows, tender, or attending plant.
• Load and unload materials from dredging equipment and deck barges.
• Transport crew and materials as needed.
• Shift dredge, pipelines, anchors, and support equipment.
• Assist with pontoon lines, submerged lines, scows, and attending plant work.
• Perform duties as assigned by project site management.
• Uphold an injury-free workplace and follow safety rules and company procedures.
