Job summary

Equipment Depot is hiring a Dock Door Technician in Louisville, KY to install and service dock equipment at customer sites. The role involves outside work in varying weather, repairing docks, doors, and related gear, and interacting with dispatchers and customers to schedule and complete jobs.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, basic electrical knowledge, and a valid driver's license. You’ll travel to job sites, document work, and uphold safety standards while representing the company

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 12+ months related experience maintaining either commercial doors or dock equipment and/or training; welding experience preferred.
• Language Ability: Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports; speak before groups.
• Math Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret graphs.
• Reasoning Ability: Follow instructions; solve problems with concrete variables.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of Internet software.
• Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license and company-insurable.

Responsibilities

• Repair and service dock and doors.
• Diagnose equipment problems and offer solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Represent Equipment Depot to customers with a professional image.
• Maintain safety and environmental protocols.
• Complete paperwork and obtain signatures; process internally.
• Provide sales leads and communicate information across teams.
