Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting seeks an experienced Early Childhood Education Director to provide leadership across four Cape Cod sites, traveling among locations as needed.

The role focuses on educational excellence, staff development, family engagement, and strong center operations, primarily supporting the South Dennis site with travel to all locations. Year-round, full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDA, Associate's Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Massachusetts Director I and Director II qualifications
• Experience leading multi-site early childhood programs or centers
• Ability to travel between 4 Cape Cod locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Travel between Cape Cod locations to support staffing, operations and program needs
• Provide leadership and oversight for all center operations
• Coach, develop, and support educators, staff and site leadership
• Maintain licensing compliance and quality standards
• Foster relationships with children, families, staff, and the community
• Support enrollment growth and family engagement initiatives
• Oversee payroll, billing, scheduling and daily administration
• Monitor budgets and financial performance within set limits
• Identify operational needs across sites and provide hands-on leadership
• Promote a positive, collaborative, high-performing culture across all sites

• Role: This position provides leadership and operational support across 4 early childhood education sites throughout Cape Cod, traveling between locations as needed.

Early Childhood Education Director — Lead and Support Thriving Early Learning Programs

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Childhood Education Director to provide leadership and support across 4 growing, year-round early learning locations throughout Cape Cod.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven early childhood leader who is committed to educational excellence, staff development, family engagement, and strong center operations. The Director will primarily support the South Dennis location while traveling among the 4 Cape Cod sites based on operational and leadership needs.

About the Programs

• Year-round operation (12 months)
• Open Monday–Friday
• Serve infants through preschool-age children
• Summer programming offered

Key Responsibilities

• Travel between school locations as needed to support staffing, operations, leadership, and program needs
• Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of center operations
• Support, coach, and develop educators, administrative staff, and center leadership
• Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and established quality standards
• Foster strong relationships with children, families, employees, and the surrounding community
• Support enrollment growth, retention, and family engagement initiatives
• Oversee or support daily operational functions including payroll, billing, scheduling, and administration
• Monitor financial performance and operate effectively within established budgets
• Identify operational needs across locations and provide hands-on leadership support where needed
• Promote a positive, collaborative, accountable, and high-performing culture across all supported schools

Qualifications

Required

• CDA, Associate's Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Massachusetts Director I and Director II qualifications
• Previous early childhood leadership experience in positions such as Director, Assistant Director, Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Department Lead, or a comparable leadership role
• Classroom teaching experience across multiple age groups
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability and willingness to travel between 4 Cape Cod locations as needed

Preferred

• Experience leading early childhood programs serving 100+ enrolled children
• Experience supervising 20 or more employees
• Multi-site leadership or operational support experience
• Knowledge of enrollment management and marketing strategies
• Strong financial and operational acumen
• Experience with payroll, billing, scheduling, and childcare management software
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing teams
