Job summary

JDH Infrastructure Group in Plainfield, IN is seeking a Directional Drill Foreman to supervise a Field crew on a fiber construction project. You will coordinate with project managers, plan daily tasks, and guide crew members to meet safety, quality, and schedule requirements on the job site.

Responsibilities include leading the crew, assigning tasks, reviewing safety documentation, and maintaining daily communication with the Construction Manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; field project experience preferred.
• Directional drill foreman with on‑site leadership and crew supervision experience.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, prints and technical documents for OSP facilities.
• Proficiency with smartphones and field communications for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, schedulers, and foremen on multi‑discipline job sites before work starts.
• Lead the assigned crew to develop work priorities, schedules and strategies for timely completion.
• Assign crew tasks based on skills and load materials, equipment, and tools required for the project.
• Review job folder documents (JHA, permits) and ensure proper paperwork is completed.
• Monitor safety, quality, and environmental regulations; conduct toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Communicate job status with Construction Manager or the foreman at end of each day.
• Revise schedules as needed to minimize downtime and adjust manpower or scope.
