Job summary

Harnish Group Inc. in Williston, ND is seeking a Diesel & Natural Gas Field Technician-Rotator to diagnose, repair, and install generators and heavy equipment across our territory. The role emphasizes hands-on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic work with strict safety standards.

Qualified candidates will have a Diesel technology degree or equivalent, 3+ years of Caterpillar equipment/generator experience, and the ability to operate independently or in a team. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Diesel technology degree or equivalent hands-on experience required.
• 3+ years Caterpillar equipment/generator experience with switchgear and EPG control wiring preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; DOT rules knowledge.
• Knowledge of CAT SIS, ET and SIS programs helpful.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair standby, prime and paralleling power systems.
• Interpret results, plan repairs, control costs and analyze needs on EPG engines.
• Troubleshoot and repair advanced electronics using ET.
• Use CAT SIS to order parts and communicate repairs with customers and team.
• Remove/install components; service, adjust and test mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Plan jobs and manage costs following manufacturer and company procedures.
• Complete reports promptly and accurately.
