Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) in Salem, OR. You will perform safe maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, at customer sites or in the shop.

Travel is required to service rental and customer-owned gear. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and own tools.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner.
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
