Job summary

Dynamic Equipment Group in Orlando, FL is seeking a Diesel Field Mechanic/Field Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment. The role requires 3–5 years of experience or technical school graduate, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a valid driver's license and your own tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience or a tech school graduate.
• Must supply personal tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read schematics/diagrams.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and electronic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment.
• Ensure equipment is job-ready for customers.
• Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
• Communicate estimated labor times and job updates to the Service Manager.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA standards.
• Track and follow up on parts needed for current jobs.
