Job summary

United Rentals in Mobile, AL is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic - Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES). You will perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with limited supervision, focusing on safety and quality.

You will travel to job sites, document work orders, upsell and demonstrate equipment, and uphold exceptional customer service while supporting the service department's goals and growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
