Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic – Service Tech III CES to perform maintenance and complex repairs on customer-owned equipment in a safe, professional manner.

You will contribute to customer service excellence and have opportunities for growth within the Service Department. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed work orders, upselling and demonstrating equipment to customers, and traveling to job sites when required.

Qualifications

• Must have advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customers and teammates.
• Ability to perform safe maintenance and repair on complex equipment with attention to safety policies.
• Must own tools applicable to the position and maintain a professional appearance.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex customer owned equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel).
• Maintain work orders and documentation daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
