Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES) to maintain and repair customer-owned equipment with limited supervision. You will document work orders, and upsell and demonstrate equipment at customer sites.

Requirements include a high school diploma, valid driver's license, 3–5 years' repair experience, and owning the necessary tools. Travel to customer job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and strong tool knowledge.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment.
• Maintain accurate work orders and documentation.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repairs/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with picking up and delivering equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
