As a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech III - Field Service - CES), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment, often independently, in a safe and professional manner. You will have opportunities for growth into higher technician and leadership roles, while providing exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

• Perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on customer equipment with independent judgment.
• Maintain documentation of work performed (work orders) accurately and timely.
• Upsell and demonstrate a variety of complex equipment to customers.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs and maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with equipment and parts pick-up and delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience in repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

This position is deemed Safety Sensitive per United Rentals' policies.
